Bites Nearby: Boon Fly Cafe

A perfect little nook in the Carneros hills, the Boon Fly Cafe is a great hangout for locals, tourists and anyone with a hankering for fresh doughnuts and gourmet coffee.

Open in the morning for great coffee and breakfast nosh (including fresh doughnuts!) the Boon Fly Cafe--part of the Carneros Inn-- is a great road stop on Highway 12, and 500 feet away from the famed art gallery.

A sun-filled farmhouse-style eatery, the Boon Fly also offers tasty lunches. A personal fav? The fresh onion rings with spinach salad. The flatbread sandwiches ($13-16) also always get a thumbs up.

Boon Fly's weekend brunch menu is popular with locals. Some options include  Chilaquiles topped with avocado and cream ($12) and Poppa Joe’s Eggs in a Hole ($11.50). Pair it all with a Classic Mimosa ($9) or a Mint Melange tea ($3). The ever popular World Famous Baker’s Boon Fly Donuts will cost you 9.75 for a dozen- a great take away item.
