Showing of "12 Stones" film

A showing of the award-winning film “12 Stones” will be open to the public at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 18 hosted by the Social Justice committee of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of the North Bay.  It will be held at the Napa Boys and Girls Club, 1515 Pueblo Ave. The film focuses on the work of Heifer International to help end world hunger and poverty while caring for the Earth. Those who receive farm animals and training pass on the gift. The short film looks at the transformation of a village in Nepal and the empowerment of women to be self-sufficient. This is a remarkable film that will inspire and give you hope about the impact you can make in the world. Representatives from the local group of Heifer International volunteers will present the film and be available to answer questions.
