1st Annual Napa River Paddle Day

The Napa Valley Yacht Club and the Ohana Wa'a Canoe Club are sponsoring the 1st Annual Napa River Paddle Day.
The event will take place on June 9th, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, at the NVYC clubhouse and dock at 100 Riverside Drive in Napa.
The crews of human-powered water-craft of all types, from northern California and beyond, will paddle or row to the club.
Forty-four- foot Hawaiian outrigger canoes will launch in Vallejo and paddle 16 miles up the scenic Napa River to the clubhouse.
Paddleboards, kayaks, canoes, and rowing shells will launch from Cutting's Wharf or Kennedy Park.
Special activities include free outrigger canoe rides to the downtown Napa turning basin, a kayak-rolling demonstration by the Bay Area Sea Kayaks club, outrigger racing by the Ohana Wa'a club, and a standup paddleboard demonstration by fitness expert Amy Marshall.
The admission price for participants and spectators is $10.00, which includes the activities mentioned, a hot dog and a soft drink. Hamburgers, fruit kabobs, snow cones, and beer and wine will be available for purchase.
Those arriving by car may park BEHIND Fresh and Easy Market, at Imola Avenue and Jefferson Street. A free shuttle service to the NVYC will be provided. The Napa Sea Scouts will assist with this service
Pre-registration may be done by mail or online, or one may register on the day of the event at the NVYC or at the launch sites. Reservations are recommended.
