I went into this field because I believe that people who are addicted to opiate painkillers and other prescription drugs or street drugs need better care than most facilities can give them. People with long-term problems need long-term care, and most insurance plans only cover the bare minimum short-term treatment. This leads to a 100% relapse rate as patients get kicked to the curb before treatment is complete. We change that at our medical drug detox program.
