Formerly a career flight attendant for Delta Air Lines, I quit flying and followed my certified sommelier husband (James) to Napa in 2008 to begin his career in the wine industry. We now own and operate our own wine tour company, FLEX Wine Tours (www.flexwinetours.com).

Volunteering at the local animal shelter hooked me into my true passion: working with the dogs, cats and rabbits at Napa County Animal Shelter.

Now a Lead Volunteer in my 3rd year at NCAS, I am at the shelter at least 2 days a week and write a newsletter for the volunteer group.

I'm blogging to bring NCAS and our wonderful adoptable animals to the attention of our community, and perhaps even inspire some of you to get involved either directly or indirectly with the rewarding work of supporting our shelter!
