We all can sleep a little better knowing he's behind bars. Why, after brutally killing someone,Read More would he be released on bail, ever? Throw away the key!
Richie Landucci July 23, 2014 at 07:04 pm
I trust some people in the DA's office will be around to remember this in 2021. I still recall thoseRead More senseless murders at Val's on Monticello at Vichy, of the high school teachers working a second job there. Hope those thug murderers never get out, either.

What a fool! If the bar was real he could have sold it at any jewelry store. And a 10oz bar is worthRead More about 13,000,
Veronica July 22, 2014 at 11:39 am
The real surprise in this story? That she wasn't too embarrassed to report the crime.
Max July 23, 2014 at 07:09 pm
Yo! Can i get one of those bars too? So i can go home and hold it my lap while i watch Fox News andRead More believe every word they tell me...

Richie Landucci July 19, 2014 at 09:58 pm
Just read in today's Nation an article on why marijuana legalization is hampered. The amount ofRead More money and forfeitures is funding law enforcement (jobs) in the Billions, nationwide. With that, increased needs for prison space and those that run them. Hey folks, it's good for the economy. It really isn't about getting high!
BonV July 20, 2014 at 08:09 am
Last November there was an excellent article in The New Yorker about the issues that Washington wasRead More having implementing its new legal weed trade - those on both sides of the issue should read it. I just read a short article that WA finally is letting legal stores open yet the concern is that the price is 3 times more than what a consumer would find on the street or in a medical dispensary. So, I am assuming that the "black market" for weed isn't going anywhere and will be as more popular than ever. Hopefully, most consumers will be smart and get prescriptions for the medical weed since the growing of it is regulated.

Next up is the Post Office. Then we hit the Federal Interstate Highway Administration. God onlyRead More knows how much the roads are used to transport drugs. Then we outlaw water. You need this to grow pot. Maybe it's just easier to go after the guy with the drugs only.
Jack Shmollie July 19, 2014 at 08:16 pm
Drugs that people need , are often available online for 30 to 40 % cheaper than the U.S.Read More establishment suppliers .It has to be delivered somehow .
Elvis July 20, 2014 at 02:57 pm
it's a witch hunt. plain and simple. it is important to know that any time someone has somethingRead More illegal to ship who are they gonna call ? not ghosbusters, either USPS, UPS or fed ex. the shippers cannot be held responsible.

I feel sorry for the cruel and unusual suffering of the families who wait 20 + years for theirRead More murderer's sentence to be carried out.
Steve M July 20, 2014 at 12:15 pm
They didn't waste much time with Timothy McVeigh who killed 144 people including children but oneRead More official said that he's getting a free ticket out of this world with hardly anytime in prison.

CHP has possession, so they can check for fingerprints.
Debi Bel July 16, 2014 at 05:11 am
If you don't know these families, weren't a witness to any relevant events and have not experiencedRead More what either family of the victim or accused are struggling with then why would you want to interject a comment that proves all of the above about you?
Reginald "Rex" Henderson July 17, 2014 at 06:58 am
Debi - welcome to the world of online reporting where unqualified, ignorant, often biasedRead More individuals are encouraged to post their musings (so the publisher of website can track "user engagement" as a tool for selling advertising)...

I saw you flying around last week. Good job. Keep that illegal stuff off the street so us legalRead More growers can supply patients through approved means. You gotta love free enterprise.

We moved back from Texas and promptly went in to the DMV and registered in CA. It has been 3Read More months, no plates, no registration, and no clue. So ya, please write down my info and turn me in. And then immediately go write about how inefficient our government spending is....
Daniel July 14, 2014 at 11:37 am
It's between the DMV and the vehicle owner and the business of nobody else. What if the tags wereRead More lifted off the vehicle? So the disgruntled neighbor cost the govt. $$ for the investigation. Is the Govt. so inept that they can't keep track of the vehicle owners with expired tags?
Roberto July 14, 2014 at 10:19 pm
I live in Lake Havasu, AZ. most of the year. When it gets too stinking hot in the summer, I move toRead More a small condo I keep in Davis. Both states insist I register my vehicle in their state. I chose Az. because it's half the cost of Ca, and because registering a vehicle there is about one tenth the hassle. The CA. DMV basically sucks! Thanks to the freakin 'Do Gooders' and Tattle Tales, I've been pulled over more times than I want to think about because I run Az. plates on my car. These idiots need to mind their own business!

Louie Sanchez and Marvin Norwood are the kind of tribal animals who can never be rehabilitated.Read More They can never be allowed back into society, not ever again. But some Rose Bird bleeding-heart leftist judge will "give them a second chance". You elected the leftists who appointed them. I did not. My deepest sympathies for Mr. Stow and his family, sincerely.

Yep, just what I knew.... like the Butts fire - deliberately set....Sad, sick people.
Belle (Orchid Lady) July 9, 2014 at 09:41 am
The Butt's fire was reportedly started by landscaping equipment. I'm not sure I'd call thatRead More deliberate, unless there's more information that I am unaware of?
Belle (Orchid Lady) July 9, 2014 at 09:44 am
Just by looking at the map of the fire, doesn't it seem plausible that it was started by a cigaretteRead More but tossed out of a car? It seems, based on the map to have started near the road.
Rock Fan July 8, 2014 at 02:30 pm
Well , this is some new info .But I doubt it will change the minds of these people screaming in theRead More streets for a murder charge . Because we all know a veteran cop just relishes the chance to shoot down a Mexican kid in the street . Always a great career move .
bruce mallon July 9, 2014 at 07:38 am
Gosh this mary wanna stuff must be really strong to make a cop shoot the kid, what, 8 times? ThisRead More has got to be the first time since Dan White was let off for murder because he ate a Twinkie to come up with this FOX propaganda type of logic. Now this cop is supposed to get off because the victim was stoned. Wow, what a great country this has turned into. Oh i forgot he was a Latino. Now that explains it.
John Richards July 9, 2014 at 12:09 pm
You are so wrong Bruce. No one is using the drug issue as a reason to let the cop off. The cop wasRead More well within his rights to shoot someone who looked like he was about to fire an AK-47 rifle.

Equally tragic to this event is the us vs. them mentality delivered to the crowd by perceivedRead More leaders: "They brought the violence to us," he said. Who are "they"? Sad, the boy died and now the grieving adults are blinded into misguidance. No winners here except, perhaps, the lawyers. :(
Katherine Wilson July 8, 2014 at 09:49 am
"At today's rally, Maria de Los Angeles, of Roseland, said law enforcement officers who mayRead More have served in Iraq and Afghanistan before they were hired need to be screened for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. " --I think that is probably the most logical thing I've heard anyone say at a rally...while I see nothing wrong with coming together for something you believe in, it was becoming quite obvious that the rallies that were being held after the shooting were being led by individuals whose main focus was simply to rile up the crowds & condemn ALL law enforcement, I really hope that doesnt become the case again...you must act better than those you are trying to condemn,...
Reginald "Rex" Henderson July 8, 2014 at 01:07 pm
Come on, people. It was an ACCIDENT, a natural mistake!
