Lyme disease IS a big deal. I know two people who were "tested", the "test" wasRead More negative, and they suffered for decades until they were properly diagnosed. The treatment takes months snd it's not pleasant. Medical community NEEDS to learn how to properly diagnose this, hopefully early enough before the more unpleasant symptoms develop, and learn to trest the disease if/when they neglected to catch it earlier. Best of luck to those trying to raise awareness.

OK, so Michael, since illegal immigrants have nothing to do with this article, nor does it haveRead More anything to do with Welfare or government assistance, why did you bring it up? Why did you bring up that people shouldn't send their paychecks home if they aren't self sufficient, if you understand that has nothing to do with the people who this article is aimed at helping?

Try counting on your fingers, and maybe your toes, if simple math is too advanced for you. If thereRead More was an Earth Day in 1970, it would be the first one. 1971 would be the second one. 2013 would indeed be the 44th Earth Day. Sounds like the hucksters are smarter than you. Keep up the good work.
MICHAEL P WILSON "Independent Kid" April 22, 2013 at 08:42 pm
If it started in 1970 would it not be the 42th annual Earth Day? I know the hucksters are trying toRead More push climate change. If they cant get the math right how can they get climate change right?

Anita D'Groin March 27, 2013 at 08:10 pm
On their surface, statistics can sometimes be misleading. That big red area in the southeast ofRead More Napa is the Napa State Hospital. If you include the "benefits" that the patients/inmates who reside there receive, they are probably well into the green. On the other hand, they probably don't have the disposable income that those living in the greener areas do.

Are you referring to the river trail by River Pointe? Yes, that's an area I won't go alone. Shame,Read More because it is a nice stroll. I'm normally in that area, on a low tide - but right at the River Pointe area and the Lincoln bridge. I've found some awesome things in the river as well. A ring, old horse shoes, cool old bottles, figurines. Nice way to do something on a sunny day in our boring town. lol It's not always the homeless that litters. There is a section, closer to Trancas, that seems like just forest, but you see bike trails off into it. Druggies go down there and hang out. I've been spooked one too many time by them popping out of no-where. How do I know they are druggies? You can tell a meth-head when you see one.

Would you rather the 19yr old go to his doctor with "back pain" and be prescribedRead More synthetic opiates (oxycontin, percocet, etc.)? Then when he becomes truly addicted he will commit crimes to support his addiction. This way Big Pharma gets their money and Prison Industrial Complex gets another client. Why does the form of the cannabis being used make any difference what so ever? Herbs not drugs.

Sounds like the vompanies' management were negligent. They hired the vendors, and were responsibleRead More for the production machinery and having adequate Quality Assurance in place. These are ALL areas where businesses routinely make their budget cuts. They're lucky nobody was hurt or killed. It's not clear if they deserve credit for initiating the recall or if they were forced to, so it's too early to give them credit for yhat.

Solidarity Work's !! In a world economy we all need to work as one.World wide all corporation's haveRead More the power, but the worker has the number. If you get together, work together become Union you have strength in numbers. But you will always have Rats that will kiss ass & break conditions these are the one's that need to disappear.Labor Unions built the middle class,8 hr work day,5 day work week ,overtime, medical ,retirement benefit's multiple retirement benefits.Which means when you change Job s your retirement follows. No non union job does that.I have seen the clown's that only has a 401k by the time they retire pay the tax they have about enough to last a year or two.Or they only have SSI & who can live on that.Time goes by quick think about your future.Do you want to live a good life or end up eating dog food in your old age.

People have the right to post unless they are abusive. I disagree with the guy as much as anyone,Read More but the criticisms seem just as useless much of the time. I suppose I am feeding into it by criticizing the criticizers. I do however wonder if the Kid, and those who share his somewhat happy sentiments towards the deaths of others, limit themselves to accidents which seem to have shown the person could have hurt someone else in the future, or whether they just feel there version of stupid people should die in general. After all if your stupid you are at potential risk of hurting others right?

Every large-scale terrorism act against the U.S. has been done by a person or people with an agenda.Read More They don't like something about us or something we do and they want to force change upon us. Look at how much of our freedom has vaporized and our culture has changed in the name of public safety. Since terrorism is a means of coercion it appears that the terrorists are winning. But the above squable and bickering leads to open an evolution of topic. The origin or content of theRead More preceeding comments is not at all entertaining, humorous or informational, but it does beg one to question what kind of example are the adults who post off topic diareaha with the tone of playground bullies- what kind of example are they for the younger members of their families and young readers. Poor form. Not to linger and realisticly, Im sure we all have had times of indiscretion. I for one see a type of 'FaceBook Syndrome' hissing right below the surface and hiding behind our 5th amendment. FaceBook is anti-social media and thats a whole seperate topic. Where is the humanity and simplicity of reason? Some of us still remember the Golden Rules that gentle and strong mothers fed down to us. Basic kind and balanced rules that are increadingly abandoned by wreckless bullies with inflated egos. Never thought I would say it, but thanks for regualting this forum cause my kids read Napa Patch all the time As always- Bless your heart Louisa. The plastic bag ban is a great idea. There should be exemptions to not charge for paper for problemRead More items that cause bacterial growth - raw fish, meat, poultry or items that should not be used in bags for food - cleaning products, yard pesticides, printer toner.
