The "Big Game:" Napa H.S. Indians vs. Vintage H.S Crushers, 7:30 p.m. Napa Memorial Stadium.

Paper-mache masks by Diego Marcial Rios, Napa County Library, 6 p.m.

Saturday, Nov. 9

Simple Tips & Willie Bird Turkey prep for Thanksgiving Cooking Class, Chef Victor Scargle, Lucy Restaurant in Yountville,  10 to 11 a.m. The class is $55 per person and is limited to 10 people. For reservations, call (707) 204-6007.

Diamond Rio, Napa Valley Performing Arts Center at Lincoln Theater, Yountville, 7 p.m.

Vintage Band Review, 32 bands competing; parade 9 a.m. Third & Main streets, downtown Napa; 1 p.m. drumline show, Napa Memorial Stadium; 4 p.m. performances and competition, Napa Memorial Stadium, Napa.

Holiday Tasting Ball, Whole Foods Market, Bel Aire Plaza, 8 p.m.

Sunday, Nov. 10
Dedication of new section of Ridge Trail at Robert Louis Stevenson State Park north of Calistoga, 10:30 a.m. (optional hiking afterward).

SOJA, reggae band, Uptown Theatre Napa, 8 p.m.

Monday, Nov. 11
Veteran's Day!  Most Napa County offices are closed.

Veteran's Day film fest, Lincoln Theater, Yountville, free for veterans and active-duty military, 1 to 6 p.m.
