A Halloween Weekend in Napa Valley, Oct. 24-28!

Coffin races, trick or treat -- all day Saturday in downtown Napa and 11 a.m. at Bel Aire Plaza in North Napa.


This weekend is packed with everything from coffin races to Tug McGraw Foundation 10Ks to trick or treat -- and everything in between

Saturday's Halloween events in downtown Napa are the main attraction. But there is so much more...

Spooky Napa, Napa County Library, Main Branch, Napa. Free. 6 p.m.

Friday, Oct. 25

Saturday, Oct. 26


North Napa Trick or Treat, prizes, costume contest, Bel Aire Plaza and Whole Foods, 11 a.m.

Coffin races, 12 to 5 p.m. downtown Napa

Trick or treat downtown Napa merchants, 2 to 5 p.m. LOOK FOR MERCHANTS DISPLAYING ORANGE AND BLACK BALLOONS

Gun Safety Day, Napa County Sheriff's Office, 1539 First St., between City Hall and Police Dept. Napa, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. U.S. Rep. Mike Thompson, D-St. Helena, is expected to attend and speak on the issue of gun safety.

"RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!" 5K & 10k FUN RUN, WALK & HIGH HEEL DASHTug McGraw Foundation, benefits traumatic brain injury research, Yountville, 4 p.m.

Sharps recycling, prescription drug take-back, Queen of the Valley Medical Center, Trancas St. Napa, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Other Drug-take back locations are Yountville Sheriff's Office, Napa Sheriff's Office near the airport, American Canyon Police Dept.

Pagan Ball, Castello di Amoroso, Calistoga, 8 p.m.

Sunday, Oct. 27

Songs of Mystery and Wonder, Music Napa Valley at Napa Valley College, features NVC's own instructor and composer, Mazdak Khamda. Tickets for this Master Series concert are $20 for Adults, $15 Military/Students/Seniors (60+), and can be purchased online at www.MusicNapaValley.org or by calling the Box Office at 707-256-7500. Tickets may be available at the door one hour before show time.  The Napa Valley College Performing Arts Center, t 2277 Napa-Vallejo Hwy., Napa. Parking is free. 

Blues Brunch Benefit, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.,  Hard Rock Cafe, Pier 39 in San Francisco. Benefits  Bread & Roses and Everybody is a Star. Includes harmonica player Mark Hummel's Blues Blowout and special guests Nick Gravenites (Paul Butterfield Blues Band) and Rom Thompson (John Lee Hooker, Etta James) sitting in.  For tickets and more information, visit www.everybodystar.org
