Monday, Oct. 14

Post offices, some government offices closed.

Tuesday, Oct. 15
--Napa City Council looks at a plan to switch directions for one-way streets in the downtown area, 6:30 p.m. City Hall, Napa.

--Napa County Supervisors will look at possible purchase of land for a new jail south of the city. 9 .m. Napa County building, Napa.

--Yountville Town Council looks at whether to annex the adjacent Domaine Chandon winery and vineyards, 6 p.m., Community Center, 6516 Washington St., Yountville.

--Calistoga City Council meets 7 p.m. Calistoga Community Center, 1307 Washington St.

--Free public information session on Obamacare, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., led by U.S. Rep. Mike Thompson, D-St. Helena. McPherson Elementary School, 2670 Yajome St., Napa.

Wednesday, Oct. 16
--Napa Valley College job fair, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. College gymnasium, Open to veterans and people with disabilities, 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., all others after 10 a.m. Free parking. 707-256-7330 for info.

--Free flu vaccinations, 10 a.m. Angwin Fire Department.

--Chris Cornell performs, Uptown Theatre Napa, 8 p.m.

Thursday, Oct. 17
--Napa Unified School District board meets, 6 p.m. 2425 Jefferson St. Napa.

Friday, Oct. 18
Live music at Taste at Oxbow, 8 p.m., Napa.

New book launch: "Celebraciones Mexicanos at Rancho Gordo," 5 p.m., Rancho Gordo, 1924 Yajome St., Napa.

Yamato: The Drummers of Japan, 8 p.m. Napa Valley Performing Arts Center, Lincoln Theater, Yountville.
