Napa Seniors Explore Art Gallery Downtown

Kristina Young of the Grand Hand Gallery shares these photographs of residents from The Meadows of Napa Valley who visited to gallery for a personal art experience this week. You can post photos, too, at napa.patch.com/pics.

The residents came to see the current exhibition, "Drawn from Nature", showcasing work made by two local artists, Maash Pascal and Patti Wessman.

Patti's mom Ethel was among the visiting group of art lovers. Patti showed the group her work and explained a little about her creative process.

Her work in this exhibition includes functional tableware as well as ethereal sculptural glass "pods" filled with collected natural sea fans, rocks and shells. 

"It was an absolute pleasure to host this group," said gallery manager Kristina Young. "We hope they visit again soon!"

"Drawn from Nature" will be on view through October with an opening reception this weekend, Sunday September 2 from 5-7pm.

The Grand Hand Gallery is located at 1136 Main Street, in downtown Napa at Pearl Street.
