Oscar Night, Free Music and More

What's there to do in and around Napa this weekend? So much, we can only scratch the surface with our top tips—including, of course, the annual Oscar Night gala at Mondavi.

Thursday

Did somebody say "free music?" Yes, tonight's the  in the comfortable depot of the , 1275 McKinstry St. With new musicians monthly, all ages welcome and no drink minimum. Buy a bottle from the wine shop to enjoy in the station with no corkage fee. Beer and other beverages available for purchase too. No reservations are needed, just drop in when you're ready for some fun.

With all due respect: Take a hike! The days are long enough that you can squeeze in a walk after work in one of our neighborhood parks. Have you visited the new Trancas Crossing? That's an easy hike; or if you want more of a workout, the views from the heights of will take away whatever breath remains to you after your climb.
