What Time is the Napa 4th of July Parade?

We answer your questions and provide a route map for the upcoming Independence Day parade in Napa, which steps off at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, the Fourth of July with Margrit Mondavi as grand marshal.

For the best view of this year's Napa Fourth of July Parade, arrive early and bring your lawn chair and sun protection.

That's the advice of organizer Doris Gentry, who promises "the biggest parade ever."

Ten thousand people attended last year's parade, according to the web site napafourth.com, where Gentry advises viewers to claim their family spots along the route by 8:30 a.m. July 4 because "the streets WILL fill up."

The parade steps off at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Second and School streets downtown and moves east on Second, north on Main and west on First Street, past the reviewing stand at Dwight Murray Plaza, to end at First and School streets.

This year’s parade theme is "Take me Out to the Ball Game," and Gentry encourages viewers to "dress in red, white and blue and wear your favorite team hat!"
