Labor Day Weekend in Napa Offers Plenty to Do

The last summer holiday weekend of 2012 is upon us and it's not too late to make plans for some Labor Day fun in Napa: Here are the editor's weekly picks and our Events calendar has many more. You can even add your own.

Looking for some Labor Day weekend activities in Napa? Here are some highlights from our Events calendar, where you'll find many more and a button to upload your own.

Bluesman  plays Friday, August 31, 2012, 8:00 pm at the , 1030 Main St$24.00. Also Friday:  at , 530 Main St, Napa, CA ( 8 p.m., $25), and the Napa City Nights free concerts in  from 6 to 10 p.m.

The  takes place every Saturday from 7:30 am to noon at the , 610 1st St.

Singer  plays the Opera House Saturday at 8:00 pm ($40), opposite  at the , 1350 3rd St (8 p.m., $30) and  at  (7 p.m., $20).

Don't miss the  exhibition of Napa old-timers in photographs and words at the , 55 Presidents Cir, Yountville: $5 admission, Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m.

Sunday, you can pull up a chair (or a hay bale) for , 6:00 pm at , 3141 Browns Valley Rd, Napa ($150).

Or you can bring your own chair, blanket and cushion to downtown for a   at 6:30 p.m., featuring the American Canyon High School Jazz Ensemble, Musicians of the Napa Valley Symphony and the Napa Valley Youth Symphony under the direction of Youth Orchestra Conductor Ming Luke and veteran conductor Thomas Conlin, area high school music students and the local band .

Featured on the program will be works of John Williams, Leonard Bernstein, Dvorak and others, and in the finale of the program the classical musicians and Anadel will perform a set of original songs written and arranged by Anadel.
