Registration Opens for Napa Valley Half Marathon

The Second Annual Napa Valley Silverado Half Marathon & 5K, in the Calistoga area, will be  Sunday, April 21.

The route includes vineyards and wineries with great vistas of the surrounding mountain ranges, including Mt. Saint Helena and the picturesque Palisades.

This race starts and finishes at Calistoga High School. Both out-and-back courses start in town and connects with the Silverado Trail (a paved roadway), and then heads south. 

The 5K turnaround point is just before Pickett Road, with the half marathon’s turnaround located at Crystal Springs Road.  Run routes retrace themselves back along Silverado Trail and back into Calistoga.  

Both courses are primarily flat and fast, with the half marathon route having only two minor hills.   The finish line for both distances will be on Calistoga High School’s track. 

Post event festivities will take place very close to the finish line.  All parking will be at the Napa County Fairgrounds, 1435 North Oak St., in Calistoga, just one block from Calistoga High School (start/finish area). 

Most of EnviroSports’ events do not allow headphones, but due to the nature of this course being on the road (not single track trails) and closed to traffic, headphones ARE allowed for this race.

There will be route aid stations at the following mile markers: 1.9, 3.8, 5.7, 7.3, 9.2, and 11.1.

Entry fees

Half Marathon:

Adults (18 years and up): Half Marathon: $80 before April 1; $90 after

Juniors (17 years and under): $20

5K Run/Walk:

Adult (18 and up): $40, before April 1; $50 after
Junior (17 and under): $20

Participants will receive a  commemorative T-shirt.  Personalized award ribbons will be given to top three individual finishers, male and female, in each five-year-age group (both races).  In addition, all half-marathon finishers will receive a special medal for completion.  

The event is limited to 1,000 participants, so don't wait too long to register!
