Moore Creek Park Ridge Trail Opens Sunday, June 30

Napa County Regional Park and Open Space District partners with Bay Area Ridge Trail Council.

The first section -- 1.5 miles -- of Ridge Trail along the new Go North route in the new Moore Creek Regional Park in Napa County will be dedicated this Sunday, June 30.

This 673-acre park surrounds beautiful, shaded Moore Creek, a year-round stream, and features diverse habitat ranging from woodlands to chapparal and open grassy hillsides.

The Go North route offers an exciting opportunity to knit together a string of protected park and land trust properties along Napa's eastern ridgelines. Look for more Ridge Trail miles to be dedicated later this year, both in Moore Creek Park and elsewhere in Napa.

Note: Volunteers for Outdoor California (V-O-Cal) will be out finishing the trail and getting the park ready to open, starting Friday evening June 28 and through Sunday morning.

Spaces are still available if you'd like to help out–learn more here.

On Sunday, there will be a brief ceremony at 1 p.m., followed by trail tours. Since parking is limited, organizers will coordinate access. For more information, call the Ridge Trail office at 415-561-2595.
