Professional in home care is not unskilled labor offered by someone who isn’t capable of doing anything else. Many caregivers have had successful careers in other fields. They are now doing in home care because they enjoy caring for the elderly and offering them the opportunity to live in their own homes. They may also enjoy the flexibility this work affords them. Many seniors need only part-time help, and many caregivers find that a part-time schedule suits their needs as well.
