And another legendary musician is now gone. Bassist "Duck" Dunn's death in Tokyo closely follows that of drummer/vocalist Levon Helm of The Band a few weeks ago.
Dunn was the bassist in Booker T. and the MG's who were the house band for one of the best soul record labels ever - Stax Records out of Memphis. The band played on hundreds of songs for the label besides putting out their own instrumental records, including the instrumental song they are most famous for: "Green Onions".
