I thought it might be fun to pick your favorite films by decade, starting with the 1940s and winding up in the 2,000s, one decade a week and end right around the time the Napa Valley Film Festival starts November 7th and the new Century Theater opens on November 9th.
Make it no more than 20 films per decade and leave your picks in the comments. These kind of lists are always flawed by their very limiting nature (only 20 per decade!) but they are good conversation starters and can be fun to compile.
