Thanks Mrs. Vantreese, a Friend When You Needed One

Napa Valley residents recall their most memorable teachers for National Teacher Appreciation Day.

Everyone has a teacher has touched their life in a memorable way. If you're lucky, you had more than one.

Today is National Appreciation Day, and we asked readers on Facebook who their most memorable teachers were.

"Mine would be Mrs. Vantreese from dance at Napa High," said Jennifer Vallerga. "She was not only a great teacher who would take that extra time to help students, but also was there as a friend when you needed one. When she passed, napa high lost a wonderful gem.
