Napa's Community Resources for Children Hiring Teachers

Community Resources for Children in Napa has two open positions for teachers.

According to Lola M. Cornish-Nickens, Associate Director of CRC, the positions are:

1)Early Childhood Specialist / Active Minds Program Teacher. This is a 13 hours per week position.

2)Early Childhood Specialist / Active Minds Program Teacher. This is a 19 hours per week position.

Following are the job descriptions:

Position Title:  Early Childhood Specialist / Active Minds Program Teacher Assistant

Hours: 13 hours per week

Salary Range:  $12.00-$15.50 hour  

The Early Childhood Specialist / Active Minds Program Teacher Assistant works directly with children and parents and is responsible for assisting the Active Minds Program Teacher in planning and facilitating group activities for preschool-age children in the Active Minds program on a weekly basis throughout Napa County. This is a part-time position.

Requirements and Qualifications:
1. BA Degree in Early Childhood Education/Child Family Studies preferred

2.  Minimum of 1 year working with children and families

3.  Good written and verbal communication skills
4. Good organizational skills

5. Ability to meet deadlines

6. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
7. Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Word and Outlook

8. Criminal record clearance

9. Valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, good driving record, and access to a car during work hours.

10. Bilingual/Spanish preferred
