What Issues Should State Senate Candidates Address?

Napa voters are now part of the newly redrawn Senate District 3. 

The new district encompasses all of Solano and Napa Counties and has parts of Yolo, Sonoma, Contra Costa and Sacramento Counties.

Republican Frank Miranda, a write-in candidate in the June primary, is looking to win the seat against Democratic Senator Lois Wolk who currently represents Senate District 5.

We at Napa Patch want to know what you, the voters newly represented by this senate seat, think are the important questions candidates for State Senate District 3 should be answering.

• How can the state do a better job of funding education? 

• What efforts should the State Senate make to protect the Delta?

These are questions that are already being asked by readers of other Patch sites around District 3.
