A solemn ceremony in downtown Napa's Veterans Memorial Park Monday honored the Napans who gave their lives in service to their country.

Napa Patch contributing photographer Israel Valencia was there and sent us these photographs.

In one, a Vietnam veteran's hat shows he is a patriotic pacifist; the other captures a moment during the ceremony.
