Vets Home Chief Retires After 13 Years

Administrator Marcella McCormack's announcement was abrupt, with no explanation, according to Yountville Sun.

Marcella McCormack, administator at the Veterans Home of California, Yountville for the past 13 years, announced her retirement this week, according to the Yountville Sun.

The article says the announcement was somewhat of a surprise and shock to many. There was no explanation given as to the timing of her retirement.

The Sun says the move comes two months after a sexual harassment and whistleblower lawsuit filed against the home by longtime public relations officer Jody Price was dismissed. Price was in the job since 2003, according to the article.

According to other published reports, a notice that the lawsuit was settled out-of-court was filed in Napa County Superior Court in July.
