New Panels Installed at Napa 9/11 Memorial

Names of terrorist attack victims listed.

Glass panels containing the names of the 9/11 victims were installed this morning at the Napa 9/11 Memorial in downtown Napa.

"The surrounding hardscape elements will be completed next week," said Robin Klingbeil, project coordinator for City of Napa Economic Development Division. "Landscaping will be planted and installed the last two weeks of August."

Klingbeil said the city will continue to keep neighboring businesses and residents apprised of activities that may impact parking, circulation or closures in the area.

Klingbeil listed a summary of the remaining construction schedule:

WEEK OF:

Aug. 8 and 9 – Install glass panels.

Aug. 12 – complete memorial circle;  City will grind and pave parking lot.

Aug. 19 – Planting and irrigation.

Aug. 26 – Planting and irrigation completed (Arbor Day Event August 24).

Sept. 2 – Clean up.

Sept. 11 – 9/11 Dedication Event (More information will follow).
