Napa Women Named Delegates to Democratic National Convention

At a district-level caucus in Santa Rosa Sunday, two Napa women were elected as delegates to the convention in Charlotte, N.C. in September.

Two Napa women are among the 547 delegates the California Democratic Party is sending to represent the state at the party's national convention in Charlotte, N.C., Sept. 3 through Sept. 6.

Joanne Gifford and Betty Malmgren were elected by their fellow Democrats at a district-level caucus in Santa Rosa Sunday, Malmgren said.

A member of Occupy Napa, Gifford describes herself in her Patch blogger profile as "Mom, Community and Political Activist and Fierce Advocate for Social Justice."
