Why a microchip? Ask the owners of the cute, microchipped beagle found in and brought to the shelter Friday afternoon: The microchip database allows shelters to contact owners and let them know their pets have been found.

To meet your next dog, cat or rabbit, stop by the shelter at 942 Hartle Court six days a week, from noon till 4:45 p.m. For more information, call (707) 253-4381.
