look for an industry employer that will contribute to the local economy instead of straining and draining it for the benefit of a developer.

A lot of people feel that way; but it doesn't seem likely, Tom: Three of the five commissioners have already said they favor housing development on the site, which one called "neglected ... dilapidated ... blighted."

Those who sincerely believe manufacturing will return to Napa, with its demographics, are living in a parallel universe.
