Napa's recently-elected and reelected city officials have taken their oath of service.
Napa City Clerk Dorothy Roberts administered the oath Tuesday to new council members Alfredo Pedroza and Scott Sedgley and Mayor Jill Techel, during the final council meeting for outgoing members Mark Van Gorder and Jim Krider.
After taking the oath, which promises they will uphold the constitutions of the fderal and state governments and faithfully discharge their duties, Pedroza and Sedgley each received boutonnieres and Techel a bouquet from Sal the Flower Guy.
Tuesday's brief ceremony brought a Who's Who of city and county to Napa City Hall, including four of the five Napa County supervisors, who sat in different rows to avoid any appearance of a Brown Act conflict.
The swearing-in was quickly followed by an adjournment to socialize and enjoy a donated repast that included a cheese plate and a City of Napa logo cake from La Toque and fresh-roasted coffee brewed and served by Ken Graham of Napa's Teeny Tiny Coffee Co.
