Napa Council Seeks Input on Budget Priorities

A media release from the City of Napa.

The City Council will hold a public workshop at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 19 to discuss budget priorities and get citizen input. The purpose of the workshop is to confirm Council priorities established in January, review planned capital improvement projects and move toward the preparation of a preliminary City budget for fiscal years 2011-2013. The workshop will provide an overview of the City’s financial position and detail the existing structural deficit, planned cost reductions and their impact on services. A public hearing on the preliminary budget is set for June 7, with final budget adoption anticipated on June 21. Meeting agendas will be posted at cityofnapa.org.
