With military suicides an increasingly disturbing trend in the U.S., attention is being focused on ways to help veterans cope emotionally with the aftermath of active duty.
One of those ways is local: "The Pathway Home" in Yountville, according to CBS News in San Francisco.
The home, which is where the Department of Veterans Affairs sends troubled service men and women, appears to show promise, the TV station says.

Yountville is also the site of the Veterans Home of California, Yountville, run by the California Department of Veterans Affairs. It is the largest Veterans Home in the U.S. (see comments below for more information).
