Luce-Van Gorder Race is Tight in Napa

In unofficial election-night returns, longtime incumbent Mark Luce holds a narrow lead over Napa City Council member Mark Van Gorder in the race to represent District 2 on the Napa County Board of Supervisors

Unofficial Election Night returns from the Napa County elections office show incumbent Mark Luce holding a narrow lead over challenger Mark van Gorder:



MARK LUCE 3,354 51.98% MARK VAN GORDER 3,099 48.02%

Whichever way the race for the District 2 seat on the Napa County Board of Supervisors is decided by the voters, the winner of the most donations, acoording to the latest campaign statements on file, is decidedly Mark van Gorder with $18,733 in donations through October 20 filing period.

Mark Luce obtained $3,795 in donations within the same filing period. 

This brings Mark van Gorder's total year-to-date haul in donations to $75,290.26 and Mark Luce's total in the same period to $61,303.25.

Van Gorder also filed two late contributions as of October 26 – a small contributor committee donation of $1021 and an individual donation of $2000. Adding that to his year-to-date total would make it $78,311.26 in donations.
