Look Both Ways: East-West Traffic OK'd for Downtown Napa

The Napa City Council unanimously approved the Downtown Specific Plan to map out future development in the city core, according to the Napa Valley Register. That includes returning First through Fourth streets to their original two-way traffic pattern.

for the future of downtown Napa got nothing but thumbs up from the city council Tuesday night.

Under the unanimously-approved Downtown Specific Plan, two-way traffic will return to a series of downtown streets that were converted to one-way decades ago.

Council members did not agree to add a provision, proposed by the grassroots Napa Local group, that would have limited the ability of "formula businesses" like Starbucks to open downtown.
