Live: Piner’s, Medic Ambulance Tell Napa Supes They’ll Work Together

This morning’s special meeting of the Napa County Board of Supervisors took an unexpected turn near the end of its second hour.
That’s when executives from and Medic Ambulance, the two ambulance services that were to earn the coveted 10-year contract to serve county residents, told the supervisors they have reached an agreement to work together.
It’s not clear whether this last-minute move will save the two companies from losing the Napa monopoly. County staff is recommending that the contract go to AMR, which received the highest evaluation. were earlier this week.
