Board of Supervisors meeting

On the agenda:

  • Proclamation declaring April 2012 as Child Abuse Prevention Awareness Month in Napa County.
  • Staff presentation regarding the status of existing Measure A projects and proposed FY 2012-2013 scope and budget funding.
  • Items regarding the Arts & Culture category of the Special Projects Fund, including a grant to support the construction of the "Napa 9/11 Memorial Project; a staff recommendation to create a Special Project Fund - Arts & Culture Task Force, which would  make program/project recommendations to the Board of Supervisors for up to 75% of the available funds; and a staff recommendation to reserve 25% of the available funds for projects/programs proposed by the Arts Council Napa Valley (ACNV).
  • Consideration and possible action regarding appeals to a decision by the Zoning Administrator concerning legal nonconforming structures and land use activities for the Napa Valley Horseman's Association property located on the east side of Foster Road.
    • Agricultural Commissioner/Sealer of Weights and Measures to present the Annual Crop Report for 2011.
    • Consideration and possible action regarding an appeal to a decision by the Director of Environmental Management concerning a building permit for the property located at 647 Greenfield Road in St. Helena.
    • Approval of and authorization for the Chairman to sign a letter requesting that Napa County be included in AB 1445, which would allow greater flexibility in the use of the Inmate Welfare Fund by the County officer responsible for operating the jail.
