County, City Governments to Meet Tuesday

Are you a policy wonk? Then Tuesday is your day in Napa

Tomorrow, Tuesday, is a big day for local government in Napa. The Napa County meets at 9 am at the on Third Street, and the gets together not once but twice for public meetings, at 3:30 pm and 6:15 pm.

High on the City Council agenda is the recent suspension of its red-light camera program, following a that called into question the legality of the cameras. The city’s contract with Reflex, the contractor for the program, expires on Friday this week. Patch contributor will be following this story.

Urban water use, and the Urban Water Management Plan, will be under discussion by the city council at their evening meeting in a packed agenda. The plan is in response to the Water Conservation Act of 2009, with its goal of a statewide 20 percent reduction in per capita water use by 2020. The draft of the water plan’s update is available for review online at cityofnapa.org/water.
