City: Napa Water Main Fixed

Repairs have been completed, but some customers may still have cloudy water for another day or two, according to a city announcement.

Tuesday's from the Jamieson Canyon treatment plant to the cities of Napa and Yountville has been repaired, according to an announcement issued at 11:35 a.m. Thursday by Napa city spokesman Barry Martin:

Repairs have been completed on the break that occurred Tuesday afternoon in the main water transmission line from the Jamieson Canyon treatment plant. The 36-inch pipe is now being refilled and brought back into service.

The Hennessey treatment plant will remain online until normal pressure is achieved in the repaired line. Customers in certain areas may continue to experience cloudy water for another day or two.

The water remains safe to drink and use for all other purposes. Any customer experiencing a continuing severe water problem should call the Water Division at 257-9521 or use the online Service Center to report a concern.
