Chalk Suspect to be Arraigned Today in Napa

Arrested Sept. 11 on suspicion of felony vandalism for chalking slogans on a downtown Napa bridge, Amy Larson has a court date this morning. Last night, she appeared on talk show host Alex Jones's "Infowars" program.

Amy Larson is getting her first day in court.

Larson was arrested Sept. 11 on suspicion of felony vandalism after chalking "9/11 Truth" and "WTC Bldg 7" on the First Street Bridge as she walked home from the Napa Farmers Market.

Interviewed by Napa Patch and other media, including talk show host Alex Jones last night, Larson has insisted that she was arrested not because of her chalking but because she refused to give a police officer her birth date and other personal information.

"I feel that this was a really bad abuse of power ... for (the arresting officer) to put somebody in a cage for this," said Larson after she was released from jail, where she said she spent more than 30 hours.

"I was arrested for not showing my papers," she told Napa Patch.

This week, Larson said she had read in a newspaper that her charge was lowered to a misdemeanor, but that she had not confirmed the report.

Larson's arraignment is scheduled for 8:30 this morning in Napa County Superior Court and Napa Patch will be there.
