1st Meeting for New Emergency Public Health Network is Monday


An organizational meeting for a new Napa County emergency public health network is set for Monday, June 17, from 1:30 to 3 p.m.

The new network is being dubbed PHONE, for Public Health Outreach Network for Emergencies.

The meeting will be at Napa County Health and Human Services Agency, Building K Conference Room, 2344 Old Sonoma Road, Napa.

Representatives from all community and faith-based organizations who serve the people of Napa County are invited to attend.

According to the Vallejo Times Herald, the new network could prove to be invaluable in the case of a major public health emergency, such as an avian flu epidemic.
