Youth Flees in Stolen Car, Cops Say

Arrest information does not indicate a conviction.

A police officer’s attempt to stop a stolen car yielded the arrest of an underage boy after a brief pursuit Monday morning, according to a shift activity log from the :

On 2-13-12 at 0953 hours, an officer located a previously reported stolen vehicle in the area of Harrison Street in Napa. 

The vehicle was occupied and immediately fled upon the officer attempting to conduct an enforcement stop.

The officer lost sight of the vehicle for a short period of time, but located it abandoned on Homewood near Archer. 

A perimeter was set and a male juvenile was located running. His wallet was located inside the vehicle.

The male juvenile was arrested for violation of juvenile probation and possession of stolen property.

The investigation is “ongoing as to other suspects related to the vehicle,” according to the police log.
