Woman Jailed for Cruelty to Child

Arrest information from the Napa Police Department does not indicate a conviction.

A Napa woman was arrested Monday afternoon for willful cruelty to a child, according to a shift activity log from the :

At approximately 1644 hours, officers responded to a residence in the 500 block of Montgomery to investigate a possible cruelty to child case. 

The juvenile in the suspect's care had self-inflicted wounds and the suspect refused to seek appropriate medical for the injuries.

Once at the scene, officers discovered that the residence was in such a condition that it was not fit for the juvenile to live there. 

Shelley Deanne Halladay, 53, was booked at the , according to the log.
