A 77-year-old Napa woman was struck by a vehicle in a Napa crosswalk, according to a bulletin from Capt. Jeff Troendly of the City of Napa Police Department:

This collision does not appear to be alcohol or drug related and is currently under investigation.

I hope Ms. Sparlin is okay... any new reports on her? If only everyone would be more careful... both pedestrians and bicyclists AND drivers. It seems like there are too many articles about accidents involving bicyclists and pedestrians now...

She is in ICU in stable condition, she has many broken ribs along with head trauma that includes bleeding of the brain. She has some bad cuts on her head and a lot of bruising through out her body. It will be a long recovery but she is a strong woman and has the company and support of her closest family. Thank you for your concern. -Billy Bravo ( Grandson.)
