Victim Identified after Fatal Bike-Car Collision Upvalley
The Napa County Sheriff's Office has identified Richard Arthur Becker of St. Helena as the bicyclist who died following a collision with a car in Deer Park over the weekend, according to the Napa Valley Register.
The 54-year-old St. Helena man who lost his life following a collision with an autombile in Deer Park Saturday has been identified by the Napa County Sheriff's Office as Richard Arthur Becker, according to a report in the .
The car was driven by Kimberly Klingman, 39, of Napa, who was not arrested, according to the Register report.
, Becker was riding westbound on Deer Park Road when he struck the front of Klingman's BMW as she was trying to make a left-hand turn to go north on Sanitarium Road, the California Highway Patrol said.

Becker died at St. Helena Hospital. The cause of the collision is under investigation, but alcohol and drugs were not a factor in the crash.
The accident comes on the heels of at least half a dozen incidents over the past three months in Sonoma and Napa counties where cyclists were killed or injured by drivers, including the of a Napa bicyclist whose son is a City Council candidate.
