Two Officers, Suspect Injured in Late Night Action
Two officers were injured trying to apprehend a suspect last night
Two officers were investigating a violation of a domestic violence protection order last night, but the action turned violent leading to three injuries -- including the suspect they were attempting to apprehend.
The two NPD officers contacted the suspect, Neri Arnulfo Lopez, 26, in the front yard at a residence in the 600 block of Costa Dr. When they attempted to place him under arrest, Lopez violently resisted the officers.
Backup from NPD as well as a Deputy were called, and arrived on scene. Lopez was eventually subdued and taken into custody.

He was found in possession of a glass pipe consistent with being used to smoke methamphetamine.

Lopez’ actions additionally violated the terms of his current Napa County Probation. After his release from the Hospital he was booked into NCDC.
