Two Napa Men Arrested on Suspicion of Drug Possession

The Napa Police Department arrested two men in separate incidents on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance

The Napa Police Department arrested two men, in separate incidents, on drug-related charges.

On Saturday at 1:19 p.m., a police officer was patrolling the 2500 block of Laurel Street and contacted Jesus Matias, 46, of Napa. Matias gave consent for the officer to search him and was found to be in possession suspected methamphetamine, according to police.

The officer also discovered that Matias had an outstanding warrant out for his arrest. Matias arrested on suspicion of drug possession and for the warrant and was taken to jail.

Then at 4:54 p.m., Napa Police officers came into contact with Raymond Villanueva, 30. Police said that Villanueva was behaving suspiciously behind the business complex in the area of Kilburn Avenue and Freeway Drive. A search of Villanueva revealed some suspected methamphetamine, police said.

Villanueva was arrested on suspicion of drug possession and taken to jail.
