Transient Busted After Complaint, Police Say

He was on parole and had what appeared to be meth, according to Napa police. Arrest information does not indicate a conviction.

A report of a “suspicious male watching women” brought Napa police to a business in the 1400 block of Third Street shortly before 9 p.m. Thursday, according to a shift activity log released by the City of Napa Police Department:

Upon arrival, officers located the suspect, Joseph Vierra 52 year old transient, in a vehicle.

Officers conducted a records check and learned Vierra was on parole.

A search of Vierra’s vehicle revealed a small amount of suspected methamphetamine.

Vierra was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and violation of parole.

He was booked at the Napa County Department of Corrections, according to police.
