Three Times Not a Charm For Suspected Burglar

A Vallejo man was arrested this morning on suspicion of commercial burglary from Target in South Napa

A Vallejo man was taken into custody this afternoon on suspicion of burglarizing Target at South Napa Marketplace. The man, 33-year-old Michael Price, of Vallejo is suspected of taking merchandise totaling $635 from the story. He is also suspected of burglarizing Target at least two previous times.

Napa PD was called to the South Napa Target on Soscol Ave. at 1014 AM for a theft in progress.  Employees reported a male subject exiting the store with a cartload of merchandise.  The same subject had been seen on two previous occasions stealing from the store.  Today an employee was able to provide dispatchers with a description of the suspect vehicle as it left southbound from the store.  Napa officers requested assistance from the American Canyon Police Department.  ACPD Officers located the vehicle and stopped it in the area of Poco and Hwy 29.  The stolen merchandise, totaling $635 was located in the back seat of the vehicle.  The suspect, Michael Price (7/5/79 of Vallejo), was arrested by Napa Police Officers who responded to American Canyon.  Further investigation by NPD and Target revealed the same suspect had committed two previous thefts from the store for an additional $923 in merchandise.  Price is on Federal Probation and was booked at NCDC for three separate counts of felony commercial burglary.

Also this morning, at 11:28 a.m., a Napa husband and wife were taken into custody on suspicion of domestic battery and domestic violence. Here are the details from the NPD:

Officers were summoned to the 500 Block of River Glen. for a domestic disturbance.  Upon arrival they found a male and a female at the residence.  An investigation revealed Tera Simmons (32yr old Napa resident) and her husband, Jake Bazen (30yrs) had been in a fight.  She had blocked him from driving away and from riding his bike away from the location.  During the fight Simmons battered her husband.  The husband later battered Simmons.  The male half had visible injuries from the fight while the female did not.  The male was booked for spousal battery (misd) while the female was booked for domestic violence (felony).
