Three men who were in Napa say they don't know why they were attacked by 8 to 10 people on Bellevue Avenue, according to a press release from the :
On August 17, 2012 at 8:17 PM Napa Police Officers were dispatched to the 30blk of Bellevue Ave. for a reported fight with weapons.
Callers in the area were reporting multiple subjects fighting in the street with weapons consisting of bottles, chains and knives. Additional information was provided that there was at least one person stabbed.
Units arrived and located one stabbing victim (38yr old Male, Napa) in the immediate area of the fight and a second victim (21yr old Male, Napa) in front of an unrelated residence in the 100blk of Homewood Ave.
Both subjects needed immediate medical attention. Napa Fire Department and AMR Ambulance responded and rendered medical aid. Both were transported to the for treatment.
Queen of the Valley called a short time later and advised that a 19yr old Male, Napa, had just arrived and was suffering from a stab wound. It was determined that he was from the Bellevue Ave. incident.
The 21yr old victim and the 19yr old victim were both treated and released. The 38yr old victim was admitted for further medical care.
The victims reported walking on Bellevue when they were confronted by 8 to 10 subjects.
The subjects were verbally challenging the subjects to fight and then began assaulting them.
They were stabbed and all involved fled the area on foot. The victims were not able to provide detailed descriptions of the subjects. The motive for the incident is currently not known.
