Threatened Suicide Closes Trancas, 29

Monday night's incident ended when a troubled individual was coaxed off the overpass by authorities.

A troubled individual threatened to jump from the Trancas Street overpass on Monday night, causing authorities to close Highway 29 and Trancas for about an hour, according to Napa police.

The incident drew a crowd of onlookers to the area, according to Napa Patch contributor Robert Peebles Jr., who was at the scene.

According to police, "the subject was safely taken into custody and will be seen by mental health services for treatment."
