Switchblade Found, 2 Teens Arrested in Napa, Police Say

A rumble reportedly forming at Jack in the Box in south Napa early Saturday never materialized, but the description of a suspect BMW led to two arrests, according to Napa police.

Police arrested two 19-year-old men in south Napa early Saturday, one for possessing a switchblade in a motor vehicle in a public place and DUI and the other for violating probation.

According to an arrest summary from the City of Napa Police Department, the incident began at around 12:15 a.m. when officers were sent to a reported disturbance at Jack in the Box on Imola Avenue:

The reporting party indicated there was a fight pending between 10-12 subjects, the reporting party stated some of the subjects were leaving in a white 4 door BMW headed W/B on Imola Ave.

An officer stopped the BMW on Imola at Coombs St. and contacted the driver, Ivan Hernandez (19 yrs. of Napa).

Hernandez was found to be impaired while driving and was in possession of a switchblade knife. Hernandez was arrested.

A passenger in the vehicle, Alejandro Garcia (19 yrs. of Napa) had three warrants for violation of probation and was arrested.

Both subjects were booked into the Napa County Department of Corrections.

Officers that responded to the area of Jack in the Box, were unable to locate any kind of disturbance.

Arrest information does not indicate convictions.
